The purpose of the Trinity Lutheran Preschool and PDO program is to offer a warm, accepting Christian environment in which the whole child can grow: spiritually, emotionally, socially, creatively, intellectually and physically. Our goal is to extend the love of Jesus to children for families both from our congregation and the surrounding community. This will be done by sharing the love and teachings of Jesus, so that the children and their families may receive the blessings from knowing, and following our Savior.
Our Preschool program is designed for children 3 and 4 years of age.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:15 am–3:15 pm.
Our preschool program is designed to develop basic concepts, positive attitudes and personal skills as well as to capitalize on each child’s individual ability to create.
At all times the development of your child’s self esteem is of the utmost importance. To build a broad foundation for your child's success as a student, we will be focusing upon these early childhood skills; socialization, language development, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, conceptual development, color awareness, shape and number recognition, direction following, perceptual discrimination, listening, and more!
Our religion curriculum relates to the concept that we are “Jesus’ little lamb”, and He is the Good Shepherd. Children relate well to this concept, it is not abstract to them. They readily understand their dependency, their vulnerability, the need for some one to take care of them and guide them.
Jesus, the Good Shepherd, give them comfort, safety, and confidence to step out on their own, knowing He is watching over them. He even willingly gave His life to save them, offering them peace of forgiveness and promised joy in Heaven.
Children must be picked up and dropped off each week at their classroom by a responsible adult.
Children should wear comfortable clothes that are able to endure all types of play.
We require one month's notice in the event you should need to take your child out of our program.
