December Youth News
This month we will look at the last part of the 2019 National Youth Gathering theme, “Real, Present, God.”
God is God. No one or nothing else is God. And God is utterly and absolutely unique.
“Come, behold the works of the Lord, how He has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire. ‘Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalting among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!’ The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” (Psalm 46:8-11)
God’s strength and power are incomparable. God can bring “desolations” on the earth. This God is all powerful. He uses His power to stop raging battles. He destroys the tools of destruction. God only has to utter His voice and “the earth melts.” “He is the Lord of Hosts,” Commander of angel armies. He gives orders to myriads of armed angels. God stands above and beyond creation itself. God is far bigger and stronger than we’ve ever imagined.
God is all powerful, but He is also all personal. He’s intimate. He knows your name. He speaks words of personal comfort. He is by our side and on our side. He sent Jesus to die for our sins so that on the last day we will rise to everlasting life. (From Rev. Dan Weber’s “Talking Points”)
A New year ‘Get Together’ for all youth, 6thgrade and up, is being planned for January 2, 2019. More details will be sent out later, just keep that date open, so everyone can get together.
Remember the reason we celebrate Christmas is to remember that God came to earth and lived among us, so He could be our Savior.

The summer then is full of week long sessions for campers 6-18 years of age. Adventure Options and Adventure Trips fill the summer with many exciting activies such as mountain biking, rock climbing, challenge course and river rafting. The summer ends with the Labor Day Family Camp, drawing many families to enjoy God's creation together while having comfortable acommodations in Pine and Aspen or in Theimer and the summer cabins. Year round programs continue to grow, including Journey In January, Fruitful In February and many others. Each April we have our annual Golf Tournament fund raiser.
