Faith Family won their 4 straight league championship:
The title game was a classic pitting third ranked Heaston against the 3-time defending champions- Faith Family.
The game was back and forth throughout. Heaston jumped out quick with a 3 run first inning, punctuated by a 2 run- Jarrod Cole homer. Faith Family answered in the bottom of the frame by scoring 4. The 4 run rally was highlighted by a 2-run double by Kim Colbert. The game continued to see-saw with homers by Jarrod Cole, Matt VonTungeln, and Chase Tippins from Heaston and Bob Clegg, Scott Hunt, and Kyle Hunt from Faith Family.
Entering the last inning, Heaston trailed 12-8. They quickly scored three runs on a home run, and an inside-the-park homerun. Trailing 12-11 they put runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. The next batter hit a grounder back to the pitcher and was thrown out ending the game. Faith Family won their 4 straight league championship 12-11. Heaston finishes is 2nd place for the 2nd time.

In the 3rd place game, Trinity Lutheran-Red defeated Mt. Zion 13-5. Trinity Lutheran started out quickly scoring 7 runs in the first two innings. They were aided by 5 base on balls. Kendon Mulanax Jr. added to the 7-1 lead in the 4th with his 3rd inside-the-park HR of the year. Mt. Zion fought back in the 5th scoring 3 runs cutting the lead to 8-4. They then loaded the bases, but the inning ended on a rally killing double play. Trinity Lutheran then tacked on some insurance runs in the bottom of the 5th to pull away.
This is the 2nd straight season Trinity Lutheran has finished in 3rd place. This is the best season finish for Mt. Zion, as they finished 4th.
